Random thought (brought to me by my crazy dad):
Everything in America is about the "red, white, and blue" in that order. We never say it in a different order. It's always red, white, and blue and for some reason that is important to all of us. So if it's red, white, and blue, then why- when you win ribbons for prizes- are they blue (1st), red (2nd), and white(3rd)? Shouldn't it be red (1st) white (2nd) then blue (3rd)?
If anyone knows how the history behind this and could enlighten us, please share! It would be interesting to know!
